How to use stress as an insight or resource to achieve results you want with Erin “Pink” Mosley.

We typically think of stress as a negative in our lives and work to find ways to minimize or reduce it. We can approach stress differently by thinking of it as a way to gain insight into our lives.

For this week's episode of the Weekend Wellness Hour show, I interviewed Erin "Pink" Mosley, an innovation and executive leadership coach who works with clients to teach them how to use stress as an untapped resource. Pink shares with us her background and her dive into the field of somatic psychology and neuroplasticity to help her guide others in their careers and life.

We discuss the importance of using presence and sensory experiences around us to help us calm ourselves from a heightened "fight or flight" sympathetic mode. She walks us through an example of an activity she uses with clients to bring them back into a neutral state.

We also dive into how being in "fight or flight" mode can affect our higher level processing, thinking and social interactions. This can impact all aspects of our lives, not only our careers, but also our relationships.

Pink discusses the need for developing resilience to help us through those extreme stressors in our lives and how we can increase our "window of tolerance" to help us not be so reactive.

This is important information going into the new year when we are setting new goals and working to improve ourselves. If we can turn stress around in our minds, we can use it to see positive results in our lives.

Pink has 25+ years of experience as a professional engineer, management consultant, and credentialed practitioner in innovation and sustainability. She is also a member of the Somatic Experiencing Institute and uses all these experiences and wisdom to improve self-awareness and innovation skills.

Please join us to learn how to become aware of your stressors and how to change your response to improve your health, career and life!
